Today's Flames Minute: Tuesday
This is your Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Church Mutual insurance, for this Tuesday, March 31, 2020, I'm Nick Pierce.
Across the country, college football programs continue to adjust to a new normal, as spring practice activities have been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze spoke with the media on Monday and was asked what his message has been to his players.
"I'm constantly sending them texts reminding them of ‘here are the best practices to protect ourselves.' please, take this serious. Do not, do not think this is some type of joke or this attitude of ‘it won't happen to me or it can't happen to me'. That's not true; that is a lie. That's not accurate, it can. You can't just ignore it."
The Flames were only able to practice five times this spring before the remainder of those practices were cancelled due to social distancing guidelines and mandates. You can see Monday's complete video conference chat with Coach Freeze, today on LibertyFlames.com.
