Today's Flames Minute: Wednesday

Brought to you by Church Mutual Insurance, for this Wednesday, February 5, 2020, I'm Nick Pierce.

The Flames men's golf team opens the spring season with a third-place finish at the Sea Best Invitational. Tuesday, in Florida, Liberty finished behind only 12th ranked Texas A&M and No. 37 Florida, respectively. Liberty's Ervin Chang finished tied for sixth individually at 3-under.

Former Liberty women's soccer standout Gabby Farrell has been named to the Jamaican national team. The team is currently competing in Olympic qualifiers. Farrell's 24 career goals for Liberty are the second most in school history; 18 of those were game-winners.

And we're just two days away from Liberty opening it's 2020 softball season. Liberty will take on No. 15 Kentucky on Friday at 12 noon in Clearwater, Fla. The Lady Flames will also face Illinois on Friday at 2:30, part of the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic.
