Flames Sports Hotline Returns Tonight

The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio show spotlighting Liberty's basketball programs, returns to the airwaves this evening at 7 p.m. Alan York, the radio "Voice of the Flames," hosts the show, which will feature head men's basketball coach Dale Layer along with sophomore forward Tomasz Gielo. York will also interview head women's basketball coach Carey Green and sophomore guard Reagan Miller.

For the third year in a row, the Flames Sports Hotline airs weekly on the Victory FM radio network (88.3 FM – Lynchburg, Roanoke, Danville), the flagship radio station for the Flames Sports Network. However, the show will take a three-week hiatus for Christmas and New Year's, returning to the air on Jan. 7.

Listeners can email questions for the four guests to, prior to the start of tonight's show. They can also tweet questions to @LibertyRadioPxP, using the hashtag #fsnbroadcast.

Flames fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to Victory FM (88.3 FM Lynchburg) or one of their local affiliates for the Victory FM Radio Network. The show will also air live online at and can be heard by clicking on the link above.

The Lady Flames are preparing for three home games in five days, including contests against Bluefield State (Thursday at 7 p.m.), North Carolina A&T (Saturday at 2 p.m.) and Virginia Union (next Monday at noon).

The men's basketball team, which has not played since Dec. 4, will play its next two games on the road. The Flames travel to Howard Saturday at 4 p.m. and will play at Iona Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
