Liberty swimming head coach Jake Shellenberger has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the swimming program. Heather McCorkel, Morgan Noonan and Victoria Tschoke have all signed national letters of intent to attend Liberty starting in the 2013-14 academic year.

"Assistant Coach Jessica Barnes did another fantastic job putting together this early signing class for 2013, and we are thrilled to welcome Morgan, Victoria and Heather to Liberty next fall," Shellenberger said. "Each one of these young ladies is a great fit for Liberty, and all come into our conference scoring in multiple events."

Shellenberger added, "We were looking for a small, very specific class for 2013, specifically in middle distance freestyle, breaststroke, and the IM events. We found that with this group, and we are expecting big things from them throughout their careers at Liberty."

Quote from McCorkel: "I went into my recruiting trips with an open mind and wondering where God was leading me. After spending a weekend at Liberty, I knew it was the school for me. Liberty had an amazing atmosphere and a beautiful campus. Everyone there was so friendly and had great school spirit. I also knew that I would get a good education at Liberty. I had such a great time on my trip with all the girls. They all push each other to be better swimmers, but they are great friends outside of the pool. I know this team will do great things under Coach Jake and Coach Jessica and I cannot wait to be on Liberty's campus again, this time as a student-athlete."
Quote From Shellenberger: "Heather is a fantastic fit for Liberty and will provide an immediate impact in the middle distance freestyle events. With her height of 6-2, she has a lot of potential to improve and we cannot wait to have her on campus next year. Scott Ward at Eagle has done a great job preparing her for college level swimming and she comes into our conference scoring in the 500 and 1650."

Quote from Shellenberger: "We are thrilled to have Morgan join the Liberty family. Not only is she a great fit for our university, but she also provides an immediate impact in the breaststroke events and comes into our conference scoring top eight in both the 100 and 200 breast. Morgan is a summer Junior National qualifier in the long course 200 breast, and that is a testament to her work ethic and her training with Jim Triplett at the Cabrillo Threshers.
