A Look at Liberty
Looking to build off a 2-0 win over VMI, the Liberty women's soccer team hosted defending Big South champion Radford at the East Campus Fields, Saturday night. Despite a combined 51 shots in the contest, the matchup ended in a scoreless draw.

In a contest that featured two of the conference's top goalkeepers, Karen Blocker played the full 110 minutes in net for the Lady Flames, making seven saves. The Bowie, Md., native recorded her 20th career shutout and ninth on the season. In addition to extending her Liberty career shutout record, Blocker is now tied with Natalie Mayer (2001) for the most shutouts by a Liberty goalkeeper in a single season.

On Thursday, the Lady Flames picked up their 11th win with a victory over VMI. Liberty's pair of goals came from the feet of forwards Rebecca Smith and Helena Pereira. Junior defender Dawn Elmers was also credited with an assist on Pereira's goal. With her fifth marker of the season, Pereira is now tied for the team lead with freshman forward Jaime Bouffard.

Blocker is currently second in the conference with a goals-against average of 0.72 and is tied for first with Radford's Che' Brown for the most shutouts (9). In addition to being No. 2 all-time on Liberty's career saves list with 328 stops, Blocker is also on pace to end her career with the best goals-against average (1.35) in program history.

Bouffard leads the Lady Flames with 12 points on five goals and two assists, followed by Pereira with five goals for a total of 10 points. Freshman midfielder Brittany Aanderud is pacing Liberty with five assists. Liberty is second in the conference in goals-against average (0.72), shutouts (9) and fewest goals allowed (14).

Longwood at a Glance
The Lancers enter Tuesday's meeting second in the conference standings with a 7-2-1 record. Longwood suffered a pair of 2-0 losses to High Point and Coastal Carolina earlier in this month, while playing to a scoreless draw with Radford on Thursday.

Kelsey Pardue leads the Landers with 18 points on six goals and six assists. Kyra Byron has appeared in the net in 17 contests for Longwood and is third in the conference in goals-against average (0.83), save percentage (.843) and shutouts (7).
