The Liberty swimming team will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., this weekend, where the Lady Flames will take on Duquesne for the first time, Saturday at noon at Towers Pool.

Liberty (4-2) and Duquesne (4-5) both return to the pool following Florida training trips. The Lady Flames spent last week training in Fort Myers, while the Dukes completed their training trip with a meet at the University of Miami.

For those unable to attend Saturday's meet, a live video stream will be available for a charge through Duquesne All-Access.

Liberty has been listed among those receiving consideration in both mid-major rankings this season.

The Lady Flames opened the New Year by posting a 1-2 record at the Florida Gulf Coast Quad Meet, downing North Dakota, 121-115, to gain their first win of 2012.

The event, which also featured Florida Gulf Coast and Georgia Tech, saw Liberty's swimmers post multiple person bests and top-four finishes. Brye Ravettine took second place in the 50 free, while Emily Duff placed third in the 100 back in Fort Myers.

The Lady Flames have also posted dual-meet victories over Marshall, Campbell and Radford this season.
Liberty placed second at the Radford Invitational, Nov. 17-19. The team posted six meet records and three pool records during the three-day event at Radford. The Lady Flames also broke three individual program records and one Liberty relay record at the invitational.

Brye Ravettine leads the way for the Lady Flames. She holds top-three times in the CCSA for the 50 free (23.24), 100 free (51.58) and 100 back (58.12). She has seven first-place finishes this season, and has been instrumental in Liberty's relay success.

Freshman Erin Curry was named CCSA Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 26 after winning three events and breaking two program records during Liberty's season-opening win over Marshall. Curry's classmate, Emily Duff, has also put her name in the Liberty record books this season, and holds program records in the 1,000 free, 200 back, and 200 and 400 individual medley.

Bethany Wakeley and Cori Gary both have four event victories this season, with Wakeley specializing in butterfly and Gary focusing on sprint free. Wakeley (100 and 200 fly), Gary (50 free) and Marley Cripe (100 free) all have top-eight times in the conference.

Liberty's 200 free and 200 medley relays are both ranked third in the latest CCSA top times listings.
Duquesne brings a 4-5 record into Saturday's meet. The Dukes have defeated Saint Francis (Pa.), Niagara, Youngstown State and Canisius this season. Their latest team scoring competition, the Akron Invitational, saw the team finish in ninth place.

Junior Miriam McGeath has posted the fastest 200 breaststroke time in the Atlantic-10 this season, attaining an NCAA national-meet B cut in 2:15.05. Line Lovberg, a two-time Atlantic-10 Freshman of the Week this season, is first in the 200 fly (2:00.98), and second in both the 100 fly (56.30) and 200 individual medley (2:05.45) on the latest A-10 performance list.

Sophomore Megan Smith, named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week on Nov. 8, ranks third in the A-10 in the 200 back (2:02.91).

Following the meet at Duquesne, Liberty will next compete at Gardner-Webb on Jan. 27 before contesting the Davidson Duals, Jan. 28.
