The Liberty baseball program will hold its Red/Blue Series this weekend at Worthington Stadium.

The set of three intrasquad games concludes fall practice for the Flames. The series will begin Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., with games on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The contests are open to the public and free of charge.

Liberty is in its fifth year under head coach Jim Toman and has posted a 145-90-1 record during his first four seasons.  The record is the best over a four-year span in the history of the program. In 2010, the Flames posted a school-record 42-19 mark.

Last season, the Flames had a Liberty and Big South-record seven players taken in the Major League Draft after a 35-24 overall record and an 18-9 second-place finish in the Big South standings.

Liberty opens its 2012 season at Riley Park in Charleston, S.C., against Richmond on Feb. 17, as part of The Citadel Challenge.
