As the Flames enter the third week of their annual spring practice slate, Liberty's blue-clad defensive units continues to take shape and prepare for the upcoming 2011 season.

Flames Sports Network correspondent Nick Pierce had a chance to catch up with Liberty head coach Danny Rocco following Tuesday evening's practice, No. 8 out of 15 spring practice workouts. During the 10-plus minute interview, the pair talked about Liberty's experienced secondary and defensive line, plus the development of the Flames linebacking unit.

Liberty's defense will once again be put to the test, with scrimmages scheduled for two out of the next three practices. Liberty will run the first set of 80-plus scripted plays under the lights on Thursday evening (7:30 p.m.) and the second during a 10:30 a.m. workout on Saturday.
