After taking a weekend off from competition, the Liberty men's indoor track & field team dropped two spots in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Regional Index. The Flames are now listed No. 8 in the Southeast Region. Virginia Tech leapfrogged Clemson to claim the top spot in this week's Southeast Region rankings. Fellow Big South member Charleston Southern remains at No. 15 for the second straight week. The Flames have won the team title all 13 times the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships have been contested. They will seek championship No. 14 Thursday and Friday in Clemson, S.C. The meet will get underway Thursday at 10 a.m., with the women's pentathlon 60-meter hurdles. The first men's event will be the heptathlon 60-meter dash, Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
