Megan Frazee was honored as the MVP of the 2011 TKBL All-Star Game.
Former Liberty women's basketball standout Megan Frazee was named the MVP of the 2011 Turkish Women's Basketball League (TKBL) All-Star Game, played Sunday in Eskisehire, Turkey. The 2009 Liberty graduate scored a game-high 16 points, leading the white team to a 94-89 victory. Frazee, who also added nine rebounds and two assists, played alongside current Botas teammate Jolene Anderson, former San Antonio Silver Stars teammate Vickie Johnson and Nykesha Sales. They defeated the red team, which was led by former LSU stars Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles, as well as Matee Ajavon. Frazee made her second TKBL All-Star Game appearance in as many years by ranking No. 6 on the league's scoring list with 18.4 ppg. She is also grabbing 7.6 rebounds per contest for Botas, which owns a 7-5 record through the first half of the season. Frazee has been playing professional basketball pretty much non-stop since finishing her career with the Lady Flames at the end of the 2008-09 season. This is her second season playing in the TKBL, and she has also spent two seasons with the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars. One of the most accomplished players in Liberty women's basketball history, Frazee graduated as the Lady Flames' No. 2 all-time scorer (1,883 points) and No. 3 rebounder (951 rebounds). She was a two-time Big South Player of the Year, a two-time Big South Championship MVP and helped Liberty win three Big South Conference titles during her time on the team. Frazee's Botas team will resume regular-season competition Saturday, with a game at Samsun. To keep up with Frazee in Turkey, check out her blog at meganfrazee.weebly.com/blog.html.
