During this week's Flames Sports Hotline, Alan York will welcome head football coach Danny Rocco and associate head coach and running back coach Pete Sundheim.

The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show featuring head football coach Danny Rocco and members of his staff, returns this Tuesday night at 7 p.m. New for the 2010 season, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on Victory FM (88.3 FM), the flagship station for the Flames Sports Radio Network.

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

Alan York, the new radio "Voice of the Flames," will host the call-in show, which will open weekly with a 10-minute segment with a member of Rocco's coaching staff. This week, York will begin the 60-minute show by welcoming associate head coach and running back coach Pete Sundheim.

Sundheim is the senior member of Rocco's coaching staff, having served as an assistant coach at Liberty since 1989. Currently Sundheim is overseeing Liberty's running backs, a group that has shown improvement of late.

Coming into the season, Liberty had rushed for 2,000 or more yards in six of the past eight seasons. However, the 2010 season has seen Liberty take to the air, as the Flames have passed 2,065 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Liberty has gotten back to its ground game during its last three games, rushing for a combined 625 yards and eight touchdowns in games against Savannah State, Charleston Southern and VMI. SirChauncey Holloway is Liberty's leading running back with 294 rushing yards and five touchdowns, followed by Chase Barnett (140 yards and 1 TD) and Korrey Davis (137 yards and 1 TD).

Following the opening portion of the show with Sundheim, York will welcome Rocco for his first segment. The pair will talk about Liberty's 41-7 victory over VMI two weekends ago, what the team did during the bye week and how Liberty is preparing for its next road game at Presbyterian College this upcoming weekend.

Rocco is currently in his fifth year at the helm of the program and has guided Liberty to three-straight Big South Conference titles and four-consecutive winning seasons. Rocco's sustained success on Liberty Mountain has helped the Flames remain a Top-25 program. Liberty enters this week ranked No. 12 in the FCS Coaches poll and No. 16 in the Sports Network/ Top 25 FCS ranking.

Following the first segment with Rocco, York will open up the phone lines and field questions from the radio listening audience or those seated inside Doc's Diner. Liberty Flames prize packages will be awarded to each in-person question, plus a special prize package will be awarded to the fifth person who calls in with a question.

Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show can also email their questions for Rocco to, prior to the start of the show, or send direct messages to York's Twitter page (
