Jordan Jenkins advanced to the Round of 32 in the ITA Atlantic Regional for the Lady Flames.
The Lady Flames capped off their fall tournament season over the weekend, competing in the ITA Women's Atlantic Regional in Norfolk, Va. The tournament boasts the top players in the region, making it one of the most competitive tournaments on the fall schedule. Jordan Jenkins posted the lone victory for the Lady Flames in the main draw of singles play. In her opening match, Jenkins faced Kristina Kopricina of Marshall. In a three set match which included two tie breaks, Jenkins earned the victory, 7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), 6-4. In the round of 32, Jenkins fell to the No. 15 seed, Maria Fuccillo of Virginia, 6-4, 6-2. Hannah Fick was also in the main draw of the event, but dropped her opening match to Kim Berghaus of UMBC, 6-2, 6-0. In doubles play, Cameron Richard and Jenkins defeated the Howard duo of Katelyn Stokes and Alyssa Works, 8-2, before falling to sixth seeded opponents, Alex Bara and Kateryna Yergina of VCU, 8-6. The Lady Flames return to action in late January with the opening of their spring schedule.
