Josh Hill will join the Liberty volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2010 season.

Liberty Volleyball Head Coach Shane Pinder has announced the addition of Josh Hill to the program's coaching staff. Hill comes to Liberty as an assistant coach and will begin his coaching duties later this month.

"As we work to move our program forward, we are excited about the addition of Josh to our staff," commented Pinder. "Josh brings great experience at the collegiate level. He is very passionate about the game and training student athletes, and he connects with the mission and vision of our program and university, which makes him a great fit."

Hill, a 1999 graduate of Northland International University in Dunbar, Wis., comes to Liberty from Lakeland, Fla., where he has served as the owner/director of the Lakeland Area Volleyball Association since 2008. In that role, Hill was responsible for organizing and maintaining the club budget, coordinating all travel arrangements, hiring coaches and overseeing all business aspects of the club.

Prior to his stint with the Lakeland Area Volleyball Association, Hill was a member of the volleyball coaching staff at Florida Southern College. He served as a recruiting coordinator for the Moccasins in 2008 and 2009, and also assisted with practice planning and team travel responsibilities. In addition, Hill was a national representative on the NCAA Division II Assistant Coaches Committee.

Before making the trek to Florida, Hill was an assistant coach at Campbell University in 2006-07. He planned daily practices for the Camels, and also coordinated weight training and conditioning programs and served as the director of the Campbell team camp.

Hill got his start in collegiate coaching at the University of Florida as a volunteer assistant in 2005. He was also an Outreach Coordinator for Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, Ind., from 2003 to 2005.

Hill earned his master's degree in counseling from Bob Jones University in 2001.
