Today's "Rounding the Bases" segment features freshman Lauren Trentham.

As the Lady Flames head into 2010 Big South conference play, will begin running a segment called "Rounding the Bases," giving fans a more personal look at each member of the Liberty softball team.

The segment kicks off by highlighting freshman Lauren Trentham, a native of Chester, Va. She has appeared in nine contests as a Lady Flame, and recorded her first collegiate hit, a double, against UMBC on Feb. 20.

Trentham was a four-year letterwinner at James River High School, batting .450 her senior year. She was named to the all-district second team her junior and senior seasons, and was a two-time team MVP.

Trentham, the daughter of Alan and Kimberly Trentham, is majoring in kinesiology and intends to become a physical therapist.
