During today's Gridiron Glance segment, LibetyFlames.com takes a look at Matt Bevins and Mike Larsson, two key components to the Flames' special teams unit.

Bevins is coming off the most successful game of his career at Liberty. The sophomore was personally responsible for 14 of Liberty's 58 points during the Flames' 45-point victory over Coastal Carolina, last Saturday.

Bevins was perfect on the day, connecting on all three of his field goal attempts (24, 31 and 42 yards), while hitting on 5-of-5 PATs. For his efforts, Bevins was named this week's Big South Special Teams Player of the Week, while the second-year player garnered national attention when he was named to the College Sporting News national weekly all-star team.

Bevins is the Flames' leading scorer on the year, having totaled 46 points through six games of play. The career-best outing against the Chanticleers pushed him over the 100-point mark, as he enters the Charleston Southern game with 102 points to his career ledger.

While Bevins is seeing more time on the field, Larsson continues to see less and less, which is still a good thing for the Flames.

The punter was called upon just once last week against Coastal Carolina, booting a 45-yard punt midway through the third quarter.

The 45-yarder pinned the Chanticleers at the 11-yard line, giving the sophomore 11 punts that have landed inside the opponent's 20-yards line. With just 21 punts through the first six games of the year, Liberty ranks fourth nationally in fewest punts per game. Equally as impressive, only five of Larsson's 21 punts have been returned, for a total of 17 yards (3.4 average yards per return).
