Fans of the Liberty women's basketball team are invited to help celebrate the squad's 12th Big South title in the last 13 years. The annual Liberty Lady Flames Women's Basketball Awards Banquet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 24, in the Williams Football Operations Center Donor Room. (Please note that the banquet was originally set for April 25, but was changed due to a scheduling conflict.)

The cost of the meal is $20 per person, which will be collected the evening of the banquet. The deadline for reserving your seat is April 17.

People interested in either attending the banquet or sponsoring an award are asked to contact women's basketball office administrator Kristen Rife at 434-582-2907 or kmrife@liberty.edu. Please do not call the Flames Ticket Office regarding the banquet. All reservations will be handled by Kristen Rife in the women's basketball office.

The Lady Flames recently completed a 24-9 season, which included a conference-record 15 Big South victories. Liberty defeated Gardner-Webb in the Big South Championship title contest, 51-50, earning its 12th NCAA Tournament appearance.

Numerous awards will be distributed at the banquet, and the senior class of Alexandria Bream, Megan Frazee, Molly Frazee, Moriah Frazee, Rachel Hammond, Rebecca Lightfoot and Jessica Nelson will be recognized.
