Liberty's standout Rashad Jennings has been given one more opportunity to don a Flames football jersey, as the running back has accepted an invitation to play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 24.

The Under Armour Senior Bowl is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. (EST) at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and will be televised live on the NFL Network. The contest is college football's premier pre-draft event, annually featuring the nation's best senior collegiate football stars and top NFL draft prospects on teams coached by NFL coaching staffs.

Senior Bowl practices and game week festivities are attended by more than 800 general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel from all 32 National Football League teams, making the Under Armour Senior Bowl the week-long host to a one-of-a-kind NFL Coaches Convention.

Jennings will be joining college's elite football players at the event, with the two rosters featuring players from both the FBS and FCS ranks. Players from the ACC and SEC conference dominate the roster make-up, as the ACC will be sending 18 players and the SEC will be represented by 22 student-athletes, including a pair of players from this season's Florida BSC Championship roster.

Five student-athletes will be representing the FCS ranks on the field at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, as Jennings will be joined by Central Arkansas quarterback Nathan Brown, Sam Houston State quarterback Rhett Bomar, Cal Poly wide receiver Ramses Barden and Jackson State defensive back Domonique Johnson.

The two squads at this year's Under Armour Senior Bowl will be under the direction of the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars' coaching staffs. Head coach Marvin Lewis and his Cincinnati staff will guide the North squad, while head coach Jack Del Rio and his coaches from Jacksonville will be calling the plays for the South team.

Jennings' selection to the Under Armour Senior Bowl is the third in program history, as the running back joins Wayne Haddix, a defensive back who played in the 1987 game, and Eric Green, a tight end who played in the 1990 contest, as Liberty Flames who have participated in the prestigious contest.

The invitation tops off a star-studded campaign for Jennings, which saw the Forest, Va., native garner first-team All-America honors from the Associated Press, the Sports Network and Walter Camp Football Foundation.

He also finished eighth in the final voting for this season's Walter Payton Award and was named to the College Sporting News 2008 Fabulous Fifty Division I FCS All-America team and the ECAC FCS All-Star team.

Jennings finished the 2008 season rushing for a program and Big South record 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns. He ranked No. 5 nationally in rushing yards per game (136.36), No. 6 in scoring (10.36 points per game) and No. 16 in average all-purpose yards per game (153.64).

Tickets, which range in price from $12 to $24, are still available for the contest and can be purchased by calling the Under Armour Senior Bowl ticket office at (888) 736-2695. For all other questions about the event, fans can visit
