Liberty Football Head Coach Danny Rocco has announced the addition of four new players to his spring roster, with each of those student-athletes beginning class today as the University's spring semester opened earlier this morning.

The three-time Big South Coach of the Year has added three offensive players and one defensive athlete, bolstering Liberty's roster as the Flames will be looking to make a run at their third consecutive Big South championship in 2009.

Ervin Garner (WR, Fairfax, Va.) transfers to Liberty from Virginia Tech, where he has been a part of the Hokies' roster since 2007. He redshirted his first year in Blacksburg and added depth to the Hokies' Orange Bowl Championship roster this past year.

The Oakton High School graduate caught 35 passes for 450 yards as a high school senior, scoring five times on four receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

As a defensive player, he picked off four passes and added two fumble recoveries. A dangerous return specialist, the Fairfax, Va., native returned seven kicks for a score, with three coming on punt returns and four on kickoff returns.

Justin Hilton (WR, Kissimmee, Fla.) comes to Liberty from Butte Community College in Orville, Calif. As a freshman, he caught 36 passes for 611 yards and scored twice.

During his sophomore season, the wide out caught 25 passes for 506 yards and eight scores, including the first touchdown reception of Butte's junior college national championship game appearance. The Roadrunners defeated California State, 17-9, in the contest, capping off a perfect 12-0 season for Butte.

During his high school years, Hilton was a two-time all-area player at Harmony High School in Kissimmee, Fla. A versatile athlete, who also played baseball and ran track and field, he was named to the Central Florida All-Star football team as a senior.

Sir Chauncey Holloway (RB, Seffner, Fla.) rushed for 972 yards on 124 carries and 11 touchdowns as a junior at Plant County High School, where he was named to the second team All-Hillsborough County squad.

Due to a zoning dispute during his senior season at Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla., Holloway, who is the brother-in-law of the Baltimore Ravens' Ray Lewis, had to sit out.

Brent Vinson (DB/S, Charlotte, N.C.) is a prep school graduate from Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Va., where he led his squad this past year with four interceptions and started every game.

Last year, he graduated from Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, N.C., where he was a Southwestern 4A all-conference defensive back.
