Erica Manor was recognized as the best high school volleyball player in the state of West Virginia.

Erica Manor, who recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Liberty University for the 2009-10 academic year, has been named the West Virginia Volleyball State Player of the Year.

Manor (Bunker Hill, W.Va.), a 6-1 outside hitter, received the prestigious honor after leading Musselman High School to the first state volleyball title in school history. She notched 38 kills and 20 digs during the state championship match against Ripley on Nov. 15, capping a superb senior season. Manor hit .391 with 747 kills for the Applemen, garnering her second consecutive selection to the first-team Class AAA all-state team.

Manor is one of three players who have signed with head coach Shane Pinder's Lady Flames for next season, joining Hannah Anderson (OH, Rocklin, Calif.) and Kendle Rollins (MB, Lebanon, Ohio). The trio will join a Liberty squad which went 25-9 this season, captured its second straight Big South championship and took a set from No. 4 Nebraska in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.
