Liberty Head Football Coach Danny Rocco held his weekly media press conference in the Donor Room of the Williams Football Operations Center earlier this afternoon.

During the 30-minute press conference, Rocco touched on numerous subjects, including Liberty's recent shutout victory over Charleston Southern, the Flames rebounding from their first loss of the year and the team's pending trip to Clinton, S.C., to face future league foe Presbyterian. Rocco also:

• Commented on the team getting back on track after their loss to Lafayette with a resounding victory over Charleston Southern.
• Commended his coaching staff on putting together such an impressive game play, leading the Flames to their second-straight Big South shutout.
• Remarked about the team's solid play early on this year in Big South competition and the squad's record-setting league winning streak.
• Spoke about the team going back on the road following three home games and the team's previous success earlier this year away from Williams Stadium.
• Remarked about the team's dominance over Charleston Southern in almost every statistical category last weekend.
• Highlighted some of the better individual performances during the game against Charleston Southern, including Brock Smith, Rashad Jennings, Jonathan Crawford, Dominic Bolden and Mike Godsil.
• Talked about the challenge he gave his defensive unit last week and how well they preformed, holding the Buccaneers to a season-low total offensive yard total.
• Spoke about the improvement of the special teams from the previous week, including the punt block by Larry Claiborne, but also emphasized the need for continued improvement in the kicking game.
• Commented on the solid play of Presbyterian at home this year and the Blue Hose's strong offensive numbers over the last few seasons.
• Remarked about Presbyterian's lack of success in keeping opponents out of the end zone, despite playing very sound defense.
• Asked to comment on how important it is to control the clock and to score when in the red zone, especially against a team like Presbyterian, who is known for surprising its opponent.
• Spoke about the development of Larry Claiborne and what this youngster brings to the Flames defensive secondary.
• Remarked about the strong play of Chris Rocco, with Ryan Greiser being out of the line-up with an injury.
• Asked to talk about the role of Kevin Richard and what this senior brings to the defensive line.
• Talked about Kevin Richard stepping up and embracing the challenge brought on by the addition of Daryl Robertson to the Flames' roster.
• Commented on how much it helped the players and the coaching staff to have defensive coordinator Tom Clark on the sidelines this week, instead of in the coach's booth in the press box.
• Gave an injury update, including the playing/practice status for Terry Adams, Zach Terrell, Nick Hursky, Ian Childress, Trey Jacobs and Ryan Greiser.
• Remarked about the purpose of gathering the entire team together during a timeout , last Saturday, against Charleston Southern.
• Asked to comment on whether the team likes being able to go back on the road following three-straight home games.
• Commented on the different playing styles of Presbyterian quarterbacks Brandon Miley and Parker Fleming.
• Spoke about Liberty's ability to get into Charleston Southern's backfield and how that could help against Presbyterian, especially with the two types of quarterbacks the Blue Hose march out onto the field.
• Talked about the battle between Liberty's run offense and Presbyterian's run defense, commenting on what it is going to take for each unit to excel.
