Liberty's incoming freshman setter, Courtney Boggs, was recently named to the all-tournament team for the age 18 National Division, at the USA Junior Olympic Girls' Volleyball Championships, hosted by USA Volleyball at the Dallas Convention Center.

Boggs (Marysville, Ohio) was the lone member of her Columbus Volleyball Academy (CVA) National Navy squad to be honored. The National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) All-American helped her team finish fifth out of 48 entrants in the tournament.

Boggs' squad was the only team to hand national titlist A5 Mizuno 181 Bob a setback during the event. CVA National Navy defeated the eventual champions, featuring Michigan and Georgia Tech recruits, in straight sets during round two action.

Boggs, a graduate of Worthington Christian High School, is one of five incoming freshmen who will join the defending Big South Champion Lady Flames' roster in 2008. Liberty, which went 27-9 a season ago, will open its campaign Aug. 29 at 4:30 p.m., when the Lady Flames face N.C. State at VCU's 3rd Degree Sportswear Invitational.
