Liberty in Ninth Place at Cavalier Classic
Virginia junior Conrad Von Borsig shot 68 during the first round of the Cavalier Classic to lead the field when play was suspended due to darkness. A weather delay forced the teams off the Birdwood Golf Course during the afternoon, and as a result nine teams did not complete their first round of the 36-hole event.

The second round will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday and all teams will use their same first-round tee times for the final round. Teams still on the course when play was suspended will restart their first round at 9:30 a.m.

Von Borsig is heavily contested by three golfers in second place. Longwood's Scooter Buhrman, Princeton's Evan Harmeling and Virginia's Greg Carlin all are one stroke behind after tallying a 69 in the first round.

Liberty sits in ninth place out of 12 teams. Nathan Schenz-Davis shot a 72 for even-par. Peter Horstman tallied a 74, while Parker Mckoy (78) and Stephen Hawk (78) each shot six-over par. Jay Calvo rounds out the Flames' squad with a 79.

Virginia (282) shot six-under as team to lead all squads. Augusta State (287) is five strokes back, while N.C. State (291) is in third place, nine strokes off the lead.
