Liberty University Director of Athletics Jeff Barber has announced that head women's soccer coach James Price has resigned from his position. A national search for a new women's soccer coach will begin immediately.

Last fall, Price completed his 11th season at the helm of the women's soccer program. Since taking over the program in 1997, Price has accumulated an 88-107-15 record as the fourth and winningest head coach in program history.

Price helped build Liberty's women's soccer program into a perennial contender in the Big South, claiming conference titles in 2000, 2001 and 2005. He also guided Liberty to the Big South Women's Soccer Championship title game five times, marking the second most in conference history.

Price, the 1999 Big South Coach of the Year, guided Liberty to five winning seasons, highlighted by a school-record 15 wins in 2000, when the Lady Flames made their first of three NCAA Tournament appearances under the head coach.
