• Liberty will be making its seventh NCAA Regional appearance on Friday. The Flames received an at-large selection to a regional for the second time in program history. They also received an at-large bid in 2014.
• The Flames will participate in a regional in back-to-back years that the tournament has been held for the second time in program history (also 2013-14). In 2019, the Flames captured the ASUN title and the conference's automatic bid to a regional. 
• The Flames, 39-14, enter the NCAA Knoxville, Tenn. Regional one win from recording the sixth season in program history with 40 or more wins. It would be the second time under head coach Scott Jackson that the Flames have won 40 or more games in a season. 
• Liberty went 19-2 in ASUN Conference play in 2021 and had pitcher Trevor Delaite named the ASUN Pitcher of the Year, pitcher Trey Gibson selected the ASUN Freshman of the Year, Cam Locklear voted the ASUN Defensive Player of the Year and Scott Jackson named the ASUN Coach of the Year.
• The 2021 ASUN Coach of the Year, Liberty head coach Scott Jackson is in his fifth season. He has led the Flames to a 156-91 record and two regional appearances (2019, 2021) during his tenure.

Liberty in NCAA Regionals
• Liberty will be making its seventh NCAA Regional appearance and its second as an at-large selection. The Flames have gained a regional berth with a conference automatic bid five times. They also earned an at-large selection in 2014.
• For the second-straight season, Liberty earned a spot in an NCAA Regional. It is the second time in program history that the Flames will participate in a regional in back-to-back years that the tournament has been held. In 2019, the Flames captured the ASUN title and the conference's automatic bid to a regional. 
• Liberty has previously participated in a NCAA Division I Regional in 1993, 1998, 2000, 2013 , 2014 and 2019. The Flames captured Big South Championships in 1993, 1998, 2000 and 2013 and the ASUN Championship in 2019 to earn inclusion in the NCAA field.

  • C Gray Betts has reached base safely in 42 consecutive games, the longest streak by a Flame this season. The Liberty leadoff hitter is second in the ASUN Conference with 52 runs scored. The all-conference first team catcher enters the week second on the Flames with a .411 on base percentage.
  • 1B Logan Mathieu is tied for the ASUN Conference lead with 13 home runs. He has hit 24 home runs during his career.
  • 2B Will Wagner leads the ASUN with 50 RBI.  Over the last 10 games, he posted a .361 batting with team-high nine RBI and nine runs scored. The two-time ASUN All-Conference first team member (2019 & 2021) has had two or more hits in four of the last eight games, including two three-hit games.
  • SS Cam Locklear was named to the 2021 ASUN All-Tournament team after leading the Flames in batting average (.462), RBI (4) and runs scored (4) during the tournament.  The 2021 ASUN Defensive Player of the Year leads the ASUN in assists with 147 and has posted a .962 fielding percentage.
  • 3B Trey McDyre collected his 10th multi-hit game of the season in Liberty's 6-0 victory over Kennesaw State, last Friday at the ASUN Tournament.
  • LF Aaron Anderson leads the ASUN with a .370 batting average and 22 doubles. The ASUN All-Conference first team outfielder enters the week sixth in the country in doubles. Over the last 10 games, Anderson leads the Flames with a .475 batting average. He has seven RBI and scored nine runs during the stretch.
  • CF Jaylen Guy was voted to the 2021 ASUN All-Tournament team, this past weekend. The outfielder hit .385 with three RBI. He had three hits, including a two-run single in the second inning in Liberty's 5-2 win over North Florida in an ASUN elimination game this past Friday. He leads the ASUN Conference in stolen bases with 13.
  • RF Jake Wilson was selected to the 2021 ASUN All-Tournament team. The outfielder hit .267 and made several outstanding defensive plays to rob hitters of extra bases during the tournament.
  • DH Since becoming the Flames designated hitter full time on May 1, Brady Gulakowski has hit .300 with five home runs, 17 RBI and nine runs scored. Over the 14 game span, he has six multi-RBI games, including three with three or more.
  • SP Trevor Delaite pitched his fifth complete game and his third shutout of the season in a 6-0 win over Kennesaw State, Friday at the ASUN tournament. Delaite is the first pitcher since Keegan Linza in 2011 to pitch five complete games in a season. The 2021 ASUN Pitcher of the Year leads the ASUN in wins (11), innings pitched (100), and complete games.
  • SP Since becoming a starter, Dylan Cumming has posted a 4-2 record with a 3.86 ERA over 42 innings. Over the seven starts, he has held opponents to a .208 batting average.
  • SP Right-hander Trey Gibson was named the 2021 ASUN Freshman of the Year. He is among the top five in the ASUN in wins (7) and ERA (3.32). He is averaging 9.69 strikeouts per nine innings, this season.
  • SP Making his first start since March 27, left-hander Mason Meyer allowed two runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings in Liberty's 5-2 win over North Florida at the ASUN Tournament, this past Friday. He tied his caree high with nine strikeouts and did not walk a batter.
  • RP Fraser Ellard leads the Flames and finished second in the ASUN with seven saves. The first team ASUN All-Conference reliever also leads Liberty with 24 appearances.
  • RP David Erickson has posted an 8-1 record with a 2.23 ERA in 23 appearances. Over 44 1/3 innings, he has held opponents to a .161 batting average.  Over his last 12 appearances, he has a 1.89 ERA over 19 innings.
