Liberty will be back in action for its third straight outdoor match when it travels to Richmond for a Wednesday afternoon match.

The Lady Flames (6-2) and Spiders (0-0) are set to start their match at 1:30 p.m. at the Westhampton Tennis Courts. The match was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday but was bumped up four days due to favorable weather conditions in the Richmond area for Wednesday.

The Lady Flames will be looking to end a two-match losing skid. Liberty went 0-2 last weekend in Florida, dropping its first two matches of the season at FGCU and South Florida. This match will be the 2021 season opener for the Spiders.

Liberty and Richmond last met just over a year ago (Feb. 15, 2020) at Crosswhite Athletic Club in Lynchburg. The Lady Flames defeated the Spiders 5-1 on that day. The all-time series between the two schools is even at 3-3, but Liberty has won three straight showdowns (2014, 2015 and 2020).
