For the second straight day, Liberty played an in-state opponent in James Madison. Kasey Jamieson scored the first goal of the season for Liberty but in back-to-back days the Lady Flames drew a tie, as Liberty and JMU ended the contest in a 1-1 draw.

Turning Point
Liberty and James Madison found themselves in a battle as both teams had eight shots on goal. James Madison started the game with four shots on goal in the first half, but Liberty's backline was able to keep the Dukes scoreless. Liberty's offense picked it up in the second half with five shots on goal in the second half, while holding JMU to one shot on target. Kasey Jamieson scored her first goal of the season, but James Madison was able to tie it up early in the second half and eventually ending in a draw.

Liberty will return home this upcoming week for its first home games of the season. Liberty will begin the week on Thursday, Feb. 25, against Western Carolina. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Osborne Stadium.
