The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (4-3, 0-0 ASUN) will tip off ASUN Conference play Saturday and Sunday against Lipscomb (3-3, 0-0 ASUN) in the first-ever ASUN games at Liberty Arena.

• Liberty is opening conference play at home for the first time since the 2013-14 season (Big South) and will aim for its first-ever 2-0 start in the ASUN.

• Playing for the first time in 17 days, the Lady Flames own a 5-0 all-time record against Lipscomb. Liberty has won three straight contests overall, six consecutive ASUN Conference tilts, eight straight meetings with ASUN foes and eight home games in a row.

• Emily Lytle has scored 20+ points three times this season and is averaging a team-high 17.0 ppg (No. 2 in the ASUN) for the year. She just wrapped up a program-record streak of 34 consecutive free throws made and was named ASUN Player of the Week for the second time in her career, Dec. 21.

• Fellow senior Ashtyn Baker has scored 19 points during each of the Lady Flames' last two outings and is averaging a career-best 12.0 ppg thus far in 2020-21. She and Lytle each rank among the top 20 scorers in program history.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. Lipscomb
• Liberty and Lipscomb will square off in the first two ASUN Conference sporting events ever played at Liberty Arena.

• This will mark the first time Liberty has ever faced the same opponent on back-to-back days. The Lady Flames have not played on consecutive days since Dec. 20 & 21, 2019, when they topped Bradley and host Kansas City at the Roo Holiday Classic in Kansas City, Mo.

• Due to two COVID-19-related cancellations (Dec. 19 home game vs. Belmont Abbey and Dec. 22 road game at William & Mary), Liberty will be playing its first game in 17 days. Lipscomb has played four games since Liberty's Dec. 16 victory at High Point.

• Liberty will be trying to extend a number of unbeaten streaks this weekend. The Lady Flames have won three games in a row overall, six straight ASUN Conference games, eight consecutive meetings with ASUN opponents and eight straight home games. Liberty is also 5-0 all-time against Lipscomb. Conversely, the Bisons are 0-3 on the road this year and have lost five straight road games overall.

• Liberty was picked to finish second to FGCU in the ASUN this season. Meanwhile, Lipscomb was tabbed for a seventh-place finish in the nine-team conference. The Bisons are seeking their first ASUN record above .500 since the 2003-04 season.

Liberty in Conference Openers
• Liberty is 1-1 in ASUN Conference openers. This will be the first time the Lady Flames have opened ASUN play at home and the first time they have faced Lipscomb in their ASUN lid-lifter.

• Liberty will be opening conference play with a home game for the first time since Dec. 7, 2013. That day, the Lady Flames tipped off Big South play with a 70-49 victory over Radford at the Vines Center.

• The Lady Flames have never started 2-0 in ASUN Conference play.
