Football Ticket FAQ
With the Flames' first home football game one month away, Liberty Athletics has announced its updated Williams Stadium seating capacity and ticket policy.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Liberty Athletics will transition to a single-game ticket model for the 2020 football season.
Under the current limitations set in Commonwealth of Virginia Governor Ralph Northam's Phase 3 requirements, occupancy at outdoor venues is limited to 50 percent of the facility's capacity or 1,000 patrons, whichever is less.
Under these restrictions, Liberty Athletics will limit its stadium capacity to 1,000 fans to begin the season at Williams Stadium. Additionally, to permit the greatest number of Flames fans to attend a game this season, only single-game tickets will be issued in general seating areas.
Liberty will open the home portion of its 2020 season on Sept. 26 against FIU. The Flames will also host North Alabama on Oct. 3, Louisiana-Monroe on Oct. 10 (Homecoming Weekend), Southern Miss on Oct. 24 (Family Weekend) and Western Carolina on Nov. 14.
Seating inventory in Williams Stadium has been adjusted to allow for social distancing. Priority single-game tickets will be sold to current 2020 season ticket holders first, through a priority system which recognizes Flames Club Membership Level, previous season ticket history Loyalty Points and date of purchase for an equitable chance for fans to attend.
Liberty Athletics remains hopeful Governor Northam will increase seating capacity limits during the next few months, allowing additional members of Flames Nation to enjoy the pageantry of college football at Williams Stadium in 2020.
All Suite and Club members, Flames Club members and existing football season ticket holders will be sent specific information regarding their tickets by the Flames Club.
Capacity and venue restrictions have required significant adjustments to previous seating models. All 2020 season ticket holders, including those who are not members of the Flames Club, will have the option to purchase tickets on a single-game basis (subject to availability). These individuals will be provided with three opportunities for their current ticket balance.
All current football season ticket holders will be contacted by the Flames Club or Ticket Office. Additional questions may be directed to the Flames Athletics Ticket Office by email at email@example.com or by phone at (434) 592-5015, or the Flames Club by email at firstname.lastname@example.org by phone at (434) 582-2582.
