Throughout the month of June, the Big South will be recognizing each sport's top student-athletes and coaches from the recently completed decade. Liberty wrapped up its 27-year Big South Conference membership on June 30, 2018, departing for the ASUN Conference.
The Flames excelled during their final years of Big South competition, earning seven Sasser Cups and 62 Big South team championships between 2010-18.
A 15-person committee of Big South Conference administrators served as the official voting panel to determine the All-Decade Team, with fan voting comprising 20 percent of the overall total. The 2010-19 Women's Basketball All-Decade Team features 15 players and one head coach.
Brown, a native of Waynesboro, Va., was one of three Lady Flames ever to be named to four first team All-Big South squads (2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013). She was a two-time Big South Championship MVP (2010 and 2013) among her trio of Big South Championship All-Tournament Team appearances (2010, 2012 and 2013). A two-time first team CoSIDA Academic All-American (2015 and 2016), Rininger was named Big South Woman of the Year and Big South Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2016.
The all-time leading rebounder in Liberty and Big South Conference history (1,282 career rebounds), Warley was a three-time first team All-Big South player (2010, 2011 and 2012). The native of Washington, D.C., was named the 2011 Big South Defensive Player of the Year and the 2012 Big South Championship MVP. She went to play parts of six seasons in the WNBA.
