Liberty men's tennis senior Chase Burton has been named to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team®.

Burton, a native of Naples, Fla., is the first player in program history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District® recognition. As a result of his inclusion on the academic all-district team, he will appear on the ballot for the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America Men's At-Large Team®. Burton is also the only ASUN Conference men's tennis player to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team® today.

Burton has maintained a 3.92 GPA as a business administration: entrepreneurship major and graduated with his bachelor's degree this month. A three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete to date, Burton was voted the 2019 ASUN Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well. The senior also has been included on the ASUN All-Academic team once and was a two-time Big South Presidential Honor Roll member.

On the tennis court, Burton is one of the most accomplished players in program history. He holds the program record for career singles wins with 77 and set the school record with his 75th triumph when he bested Penn State's Christos Antonpoulos in two sets (7-5, 6-0), Feb. 21.
