Homesley was named VaSID All-State First Team.

Liberty's Caleb Homesley was recognized as one of the best players in the state of Virginia as he was named to the 2019-20 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) University Division All-State first team. Homesley is the first Liberty player to be named to the VaSID University Division All-State first team since 2009, when Seth Curry received the honor.

Homesley continues to garner postseason awards as he has been named to NABC's District Three First Team, was named ASUN Player of the Year and ASUN Tournament MVP. The senior was exceptional all season, becoming just the second player in school history to earn Player of the Year honors, joining Jesse Sanders, who was named Big South Player of the Year in 2011.

Homesley averaged a career-best 15.3 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. During conference play, Homesley elevated his game to another level with 17.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 2.5 apg. Homesley had eight games this season where he scored 20 points or more, seven of which came during conference play. Homesley concluded his career ranking No. 10 on Liberty's all-time scoring list with 1,539 career points and No. 8 on the all-time rebounding list with 703 career rebounds.

VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
