Liberty senior Kalani Soli has been named the ASUN Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

The distinction is Soli's second of the spring and third of her career. The Carson, Calif., native earned ASUN Player of the Week honors, Jan. 22. The Lady Flames have received three of the first five player of the week accolades, this spring. Liberty newcomer Micaela Ode Mitre also garnered recognition a week ago.

Soli won both of her singles matches over the weekend at Florida International and Florida Atlantic to improve to 6-0 in the No. 1 position this spring. The senior topped FIU's Kamila Umarova 6-4, 6-4 last Saturday, followed by a 6-0, 6-3 decision over FAU"s Martina Kudelova. Kudelova was the 85th-ranked player in the country at 2019 season's end.

Soli has now won 20 straight spring singles matches dating back to the 2019 campaign and has claimed 40 straight spring singles sets.

In doubles, Soli and her partner, freshman Eloise Saraty, topped Basak Akbas and Umarova 7-5 on court one to secure the doubles point for the Lady Flames against the FIU Panthers. Soli and Saraty hold a 5-1 record in spring doubles contests.

Soli and the Lady Flames (3-3) will look to snap a two-match losing skid when they host the Richmond Spiders (3-4) in non-conference action, Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Crosswhite Athletic Club in Lynchburg.
