Liberty seniors Jovaine Atkinson (ASUN Men's Track Athlete of the Week) and Tanner Ealum (ASUN Women's Track Athlete of the Week) both claimed ASUN Conference weekly honors on Wednesday.

Atkinson's first career ASUN weekly award comes as a result of his third-place finish in the men's 60 hurdles final, Friday at the South Carolina Invitational. The All-American from Spanish Town, Jamaica sped to a season-best time of 7.75 seconds which currently ranks No. 12 in the nation. Atkinson, who is now in contention for a berth at the 2020 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, posted the second fastest time in ASUN Conference history.

Ealum won Saturday's South Carolina Invitational women's 800 with a facility record and indoor personal-best time of 2:07.12 which ranks No. 18 nationally. The Anchorage, Alaska native's effort ranks third in both Liberty and ASUN Conference history. Ealum is now a three-time ASUN Athlete of the Week, following her honors on Jan. 30 and May 8, 2019.

Atkinson and Ealum are both scheduled to compete at this weekend's sixth annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex. Events are scheduled to begin Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.
