The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (4-6) continues its six-game road swing with its first-ever visit to an NEC arena, Wednesday at Saint Francis (Pa.) (2-7).

• Liberty is 3-0 all-time versus NEC opponents, including an 82-53 home victory over the Red Flash last season (Nov. 17, 2018).

• The Lady Flames and Red Flash have enjoyed a similar trajectory in recent seasons. Both teams won 24 games and made NCAA Tournament appearances in 2018 before posting 16-win seasons and losing in conference championship games in 2019.

• Keyen Green, the 2018 Big South Player of the Year, is making a successful return from an ankle injury which sidelined her for the entire 2018-19 season. The redshirt junior center is leading the Lady Flames in both scoring (11.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.2 rpg).

• Fellow junior post player Bridgette Rettstatt has stepped up her play in recent weeks, scoring in double figures in four straight games. Liberty has won three of those four contests, with Rettstatt averaging 13.8 ppg and shooting 59.5 percent from the field during the span.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. Saint Francis (Pa.)
• Liberty and Saint Francis have both traveled extensively this season. The Lady Flames are in the midst of a 39-day break between home games, while the Red Flash are playing just their second home game of the year on Wednesday.

• Saint Francis is facing its third ASUN opponent of the season. The Red Flash posted a 78-73 neutral-site victory over Stetson on Nov. 16 and lost 97-64 at FGCU six days later.

• Liberty and Saint Francis have met one common opponent (Virginia Tech) this season. The Red Flash opened the year with a 105-41 loss at Virginia Tech on Nov. 5. Ten days later, the Lady Flames fell 73-69 in Blacksburg.

• Both teams won 24 games and made the 2018 NCAA Tournament before winning 16 games apiece and falling in their conference's championship game last season. The Lady Flames (ASUN) and Red Flash (NEC) were both tabbed for conference second-place finishes in 2019-20.

• Liberty is facing a first-year head coach for the third time in the last five games (also Miami (Ohio) and East Carolina). Keila Whittington is in her first year at Saint Francis after previously serving as an assistant at Marist.

• Liberty has won back-to-back games and three of its last four outings. Conversely, the Red Flash have dropped back-to-back contests and five of their last six games.

Liberty vs. NEC
• Liberty is facing a Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent for just the fourth time in program history and playing on an NEC court for the first time.

• The Lady Flames are 3-0 all-time versus NEC foes, including 1-0 against LIU Brooklyn, 1-0 against Sacred Heart and 1-0 against Saint Francis (Pa.).

• Liberty played host to both Sacred Heart (2012 Preseason WNIT) and Saint Francis (last season) at the Vines Center.

• The Lady Flames' matchup with LIU Brooklyn came on Dec. 28, 1991, the opening day of the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H.
