The Liberty Flames will square off with the North Florida Ospreys in an ASUN Quarterfinal match, Friday. The Flames and the Ospreys will lock up at the FGCU Soccer Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. Match time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Liberty (5-12, 1-5 ASUN) is the No. 6 seed for the 2019 ASUN Men's Soccer Championship and North Florida (5-7-2, 3-2-1 ASUN) is the No. 3 seed. The winner of the contest advances to play the No. 2 seeded FGCU Ospreys, next Sunday at FGCU Soccer Complex.
The top six teams in the ASUN's regular season standings qualified for the 2019 ASUN Men's Soccer Championship, with the No. 1 and 2 seeds hosting the quarterfinals and semifinals. The title game will be held at the home of the highest remaining seed on Nov. 16 with the winner receiving the ASUN's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
In the other quarterfinal contest, No. 4 seed Stetson will face No. 5 seed Lipscomb at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium in Newark, N.J., Friday. The winner of that contest advances to play ASUN regular season championship NJIT in the semifinals on Sunday.
