The Liberty volleyball team (14-9, 7-4 ASUN) closes out a stretch of four matches in three different states in a seven-day span, hosting Lipscomb (11-10, 7-3) on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Vines Center.

The Lady Flames have not played at home since Oct. 13 against Stetson. Liberty went 2-1 on a road trip that started with a sweep at NJIT last Friday, continued with a 3-1 win at Jacksonville on Sunday and concluded last night when the Lady Flames fell in straight sets at conference-leading FGCU.

Conference Rundown
Defending conference champion FGCU leads the ASUN standings at 10-1, followed by Kennesaw State at 9-2. One match separates third-place Lipscomb (7-3) from fifth-place Stetson (6-4), with Liberty (7-4) in fourth place at present. North Florida is in sixth place at 4-6, followed by Jacksonville at 3-7. Only six teams qualify for the ASUN Volleyball Championship, to be held at FGCU's Alico Arena, Nov. 21-23.

Last Meeting
• Liberty opened the ASUN schedule at 4-0 both this year and last year, and both years Lipscomb handed the Lady Flames their first conference loss on Oct. 5.

• This year, Lipscomb swept the Lady Flames on Oct. 5 in Allen Arena, despite the Lady Flames holding a .230-.190 advantage in hitting percentage. Amelia Johnson led all players with 17 kills, while Logan Gish scored 11 kills to lead Lipscomb. The turning point came in set two, when Lipscomb overcame a 19-11 deficit to win 25-23.

• Lipscomb is now 3-0 all-time against Liberty in volleyball.

Team Quick Hits
• Liberty has not played a home match in an 18-day span, since Oct. 13. It is the Lady Flames' longest span between home conference matches since Oct. 25 through Nov. 14, 2014 (19 days).

• Liberty is 12-2 when winning the first set in matches this season.

• The Lady Flames have posted 10 or more blocks 10 times this season, and they are ranked 30th in the nation with 2.56 blocks per set.

• Liberty is 7-1 in home matches this season and 14-4 at the Vines Center under second-year head coach Trevor Johnson. The Lady Flames had a 13-match home winning streak snapped on Oct. 13 against Stetson.

• Liberty is 3-1 in five-set matches this season and 1-1 in five-setters in ASUN play in 2019.

• The Lady Flames are 12-6 in sets decided by just two points and 6-1 in extended sets this year.

• Last year, Liberty set a program record for most players to record a 10-kill match in a single season (9). So far this season, six Lady Flames (Amelia Johnson – 18, Casey Goodwin – 12; Anna Gragg – 6; Rajini Fitzmaurice – 1; Lilly Kruse – 1; Kailey Macy – 1) have posted a 10-kill match.

• Liberty is the only ASUN team with an active 1,000-kill player (Casey Goodwin), a 2,000 assist player (Hannah Morris) and a 400-block player (Anna Gragg).

Player Quick Hits
• Since Liberty last played at home, two seniors hit significant milestones. On Oct. 18 at Kennesaw State, Hannah Morris became the 10th player in program history to record 2,000 career assists. Morris recorded her sixth double-double of the year last night at FGCU, with 15 assists and 11 digs.

• Last night at FGCU, Anna Gragg became the sixth player in program history, and first since Kendle Rollins (2010-13), to record 400 career blocks.

• Macy Phillips collected 20 digs in two out of Liberty's three matches on the road trip, with both 20-dig efforts coming in three-set matches (at NJIT and at FGCU). Her 20 digs in those matches are the most in a three-set contest by a Lady Flame this season.

• Rajini Fitzmaurice had a career match at NJIT last Friday, hitting .667 with a career-high 15 kills. It was her first career double-digit kill match, and her .667 hitting percentage was the best in any single match by a Liberty freshman in the rally-scoring era (since 2001).

• Casey Goodwin scored her 1,000th career kill during Liberty's last home match, Oct. 13 against Stetson, becoming the 16th player in program history in the 1,000 kill club. Gragg is nearing 1,000 kills herself, needing 59 more kills.

• Amelia Johnson leads the Lady Flames with eight double-doubles and 18 10-kill matches.  After scoring 130 kills last season, she has already recorded 293 kills this year. She registered her eight double-double on Sunday at Jacksonville with 13 kills and 14 digs.
