The Liberty Flames rallied from a 3-0 deficit with two goals over the final 23 minutes of the contest, but could not find the equalizer, as the USC Upstate Spartans defeated the Flames 3-2, Tuesday evening at Osborne Stadium.

The Spartans jumped out to a 3-0 advantage early in the second half, only to see the Flames cut their deficit to one late in the second half. However, Liberty was not able find the game-tying goal over the final three minutes.

Shane Geisler scored the Flames' first goal of the contest and Liberty's pressure resulted in an own goal by the Spartans.

Liberty falls to 4-11 overall. USC Upstate moves to 4-10 overall.
