Liberty Extends Winning Streak to Three, Defeats VMI

Liberty ended its non-conference schedule with an emphatic 3-0 win on the road at VMI. The Lady Flames have now won three games in a row, improving to 4-4-2 while VMI drops to 1-7-1. Liberty's four wins during non-conference is the most during head coach Lang Wedemeyer's time at Liberty.

Turning Point

Liberty was able to record a season-high 24 shots but was struggling to score a goal and that all changed in the final 15 minutes of the game. The Lady Flames were able to score three goals in an eight-minute span starting in the 76th minute with a goal from Cora Duininck off a corner kick. Following Duininck's goal, Liberty added two more goals for insurance to come away with the victory.
