A Look Back at the 2019 Baseball Season

Last week, LFSN's Nick Pierce and Flames head coach Scott Jackson took a look back at a memorable 2019 baseball season.

In their third season under Jackson, the Flames won the ASUN Conference title in their first season in the conference and advanced to an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2014. Liberty posted a 43-21 mark, tying the school record for wins in a single season.

  • Liberty won its first conference championship since 2013, becoming the first team to capture the ASUN title in their first year in the conference since UCF did it in 1993.

  • Evan Brabrand finished the year second on the program's single season saves list with 13.
  • Andrew McInvale recorded 10 wins and struck out 101 batters, placing him second on both of the program's single season lists.
  • With a 3-2 win over Duke on May 14 at Liberty Baseball Stadium, head coach Scott Jackson recorded the 100th win of his coaching career.
