Liberty to Host 2020 NJCAA Indoor Track Championships

The Liberty Indoor Track Complex has been selected to host its first collegiate national championship event, the 2020 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The meet will take place March 6-7, 2020 at the state-of-the-art facility which opened in January 2017. The Liberty Indoor Track Complex features a six-lane, 200-meter, hydraulically banked track.

"Liberty University is honored to host the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships for 2020," stated Clendon Henderson, Associate Head Track & Field Coach at Liberty. "Our goal will be to serve the student-athletes, coaches, and fans to bring a memorable and first-class experience."

The NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will be contested on the East Coast for the first time since 2016. This year's meet took place at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kan.

Liberty will also play host to the ASUN Indoor Track & Field Championships for the third consecutive season in 2020, with the meet slated for Feb. 28-29.
