ASUN leader Liberty women's tennis will close out its regular season slate with matches against Marshall and NJIT, Thursday and Saturday.

The Lady Flames (13-6, 5-1 ASUN), winners of six consecutive matches, will hold Senior Day at the Cook Tennis Center against the Marshall Thundering Herd, Thursday at 2 p.m. Prior to the non-conference contest, Liberty will honor its five seniors (Rebekah Anderson, Ashley Bongart, Anna Dollar, Maria Medina and Lara Soares) with a Senior Day Ceremony. Liberty is unbeaten (5-0) at home in 2019.

The Lady Flames will then travel to New Jersey for their final ASUN tilt against NJIT. First serve between the Lady Flames and Highlanders (12-7, 1-4 ASUN) is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Naomili Family Athletic and Recreational Facility (indoor courts) in Newark, N.J.

Liberty would clinch the ASUN regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the ASUN Women's Tennis Championship (April 18-20 at Stetson) with a victory over NJIT.

Liberty has won its last five ASUN matches and stands in first place in the conference at 5-1, a half game ahead of Lipscomb (4-1) and North Florida (4-1).

Marshall is 6-13 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA action. NJIT (12-7) is 1-4 in the ASUN and has lost five straight matches overall.

Liberty is 1-0 all-time against NJIT and 1-5 against Marshall. The Lady Flames bested the Highlanders 7-0 in a neutral-site match on Feb. 7, 2015 in Akron, Ohio. Liberty claimed its first-ever win over Marshall just under a year ago (April 12, 2018), defeating the Thundering Herd 5-2 in a road match in Huntington, W.Va.
