Liberty senior Julia DiMartino tossed the fourth perfect game in the program's NCAA Division I era, striking out seven while facing the minimum in a 12-0, five inning victory over Princeton, Sunday at Liberty Softball Stadium.

DiMartino faced just 15 batters, yielding no baserunners. She is the first Lady Flame since Sarah Swor to pitch a perfect game (April 9, 2005 vs. West Virginia Tech). It was DiMartino's third career no-hitter and first since April 29, 2016 against Gardner-Webb. There have now been 17 no-hitters in the program's Division I history.

Liberty (7-6) has won all three of its games so far at the Liberty Softball Challenge, by a combined score of 42-2. Princeton falls to 1-3 on the season, and the Tigers opened up their season this weekend.

Notable Numbers
- Liberty outhit Princeton 11-0 for the ballgame, while the Tigers registered the game's lone error.

- DiMartino moved to 3-3 on the season, needing just 54 pitches to retire 15 batters.

- Allie Reynolds (1-1) drew the loss, allowing 10 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits, striking out one in three innings.

- Liberty's Amber Bishop went 2-for-3 with a double, homer, two RBI and three runs scored, while Autumn Bishop batted 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly. Kaitlin McFarland (2-for-3, homer) and Alexis Erich (1-for-2) had three RBI each. Madison Via batted 1-for-2 with a triple and a sacrifice fly.

Beyond the Box Score
- The Lady Flames have shut out each of their last two opponents, and has not allowed a run in the last 14 2/3 innings. Since giving up two runs in the first inning to Wright State on Thursday, Liberty has scored 42 unanswered runs.

- Liberty has scored in double digits in each of its last three games, winning each game by run-rule. The program record for consecutive double-digit scoring games is four, and four games is also the team record for consecutive run-rule victories.

- Liberty's 32 runs scored in the last two games is a new program record for most combined runs scored in two consecutive games.

- Autumn Bishop has tied current Liberty graduate assistant Alexia Taylor (2015-18) for the program career record with 10 sacrifice flies.

- Amber Bishop hit her 30th career home run, becoming the fifth player in program history with 30 or more career home runs.
