The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (10-14, 6-5 ASUN) will take to the road on Saturday for its first-ever meeting with fellow ASUN newcomer North Alabama (17-3, 8-2 ASUN).

• Liberty has won three straight road games and is 6-2 in its last eight contests overall. Meanwhile, North Alabama is riding a four-game home winning streak and is 7-1 in its last eight outings.

• The Lady Flames are making their first visit to Alabama since Dec. 15, 2009 (Auburn) and playing their first conference game in the state since Feb. 26, 2007 (Birmingham-Southern).

• Emily Lytle has posted back-to-back 20-point games for Liberty and has made the most three-pointers (52) by a Lady Flame since 2015-16. Older sisters Bethany and Sara both faced North Alabama during their time at Union.

• Ria Gulley will wrap up her birthday week on Saturday. She celebrated her 21st birthday with a career-high 17 points (all in the second half) and a win over Lipscomb on Tuesday. Liberty is 8-5 with Gulley in the starting lineup this season.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. North Alabama
• Liberty will meet fellow ASUN newcomer North Alabama for the first time on Saturday, marking the Lady Flames' ninth and final first-time opponent of the 2018-19 regular season.

• The Lady Flames will play two of their final five regular-season games versus the Lions, as North Alabama will visit Lynchburg for Senior Night on March 5.

• North Alabama has enjoyed considerable success during its first season of transition from NCAA Division II to Division I, going 17-3 thus far. By way of comparison, Liberty went 11-14 during its inaugural Division I season 30 years ago (1988-89).

• This will mark the fourth straight season North Alabama has faced a Lytle sister. Emily Lytle's older sisters Bethany and Sara both played for Union. North Alabama went 2-3 against Union during the last three years when a Lytle was in action, including a 75-63 loss at Union on Feb. 23, 2017 when Sara Lytle went for 26 points.

• North Alabama is 9-1 at home this season, including a current four-game winning streak at Flowers Hall. Meanwhile, Liberty has won its last three road games.

• Two of North Alabama's eight all-time head coaches (Jeri Porter - 1998-2002 and Flora Willie - 2003-06) were Liberty graduates.

Liberty in the Heart of Dixie
• Liberty is 5-3 all-time when playing in Alabama, including 5-0 at Birmingham-Southern, 0-1 at Auburn, 0-1 versus Mercer and 0-1 versus Western Carolina. The Mercer and West Carolina matchups came during a tournament at South Alabama in December 1995.

• Saturday will mark the Lady Flames' first visit to Alabama in more than nine years (Dec. 15, 2009 at Auburn) and their first conference game in the state since a Big South clash at Birmingham-Southern on Feb. 26, 2007.

At Home on the Road
• Liberty has won three straight road games since starting the season at 1-6 on the road. A victory on Saturday would give the Lady Flames their longest road winning streak since a run of five straight road wins between Jan. 31-Feb. 28, 2015.

Liberty vs. the ASUN
• Liberty is 14-12 all-time versus ASUN Conference opponents (at the time of the meeting).

• The Lady Flames' most recent ASUN matchup prior to this season was a 70-27 victory over Lipscomb on Nov. 26, 2011 at the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.

• Liberty owns a 7-6 record against current ASUN members, including wins over Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb (3x), NJIT and North Florida and losses to FGCU (2x), Jacksonville and Stetson (3x).

On this Date
• Liberty is 8-5 all-time on Feb. 16, having won eight consecutive games on this date. The Lady Flames have not lost a Feb. 16 contest since 1985 (77-67 versus Mount St. Mary's).

• 10 years ago (Feb. 16, 2009), Liberty posted a 63-48 home win over Winthrop for the 500th victory in program history.

• Liberty is 229-134 all-time in February, including 130-18 under Carey Green and 2-2 this season.
