Olivia Robinson received her second CCSA Diver of the Week honor.
Following a strong showing at last weekend's home meet against Campbell and Marshall, Liberty freshman Olivia Robinson has been named the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Women's Diver of the Week.
Robinson earns her second Diver of the Week award of the season. She was also honored on Oct. 31. Lauren Chennault received CCSA Diver of the Week honors on Nov. 13. The Lady Flames have set a program single-season record with six CCSA weekly honors (three Swimmer of the Week, three Diver of the Week) this year.
A native of Friendswood, Texas, Robinson helped the Lady Flames to a resounding sweep over Campbell and Marshall at a home meet, last Friday and Saturday. She scored 200.25 points to win platform diving, which was 4.57 points clear of second place. Robinson finished second in one-meter diving, scoring 259.88 points. In three-meter diving, she scored 245.70 points, good for third place.
Earlier this season, Robinson posted scores in one-meter, three-meter and platform diving that met the standard for the NCAA Zone Qualifying Meet, which will be held in Annapolis, Md., March 11-13.
Robinson and the Liberty divers will compete in the first-ever Liberty Diving Invitational, held this Friday at the Liberty Natatorium. Friday's action will begin with prelims at 11 a.m. and conclude with finals at 5 p.m.
