The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (3-9) will wrap up non-conference play with its first matchup against West Chester (4-9) in 31 years, Wednesday at the Vines Center.

• The Lady Flames are 2-0 all-time against the Golden Rams and 4-0 versus Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents. Last season, Liberty recorded a 105-43 home win over PSAC member Shippensburg.

• The Lady Flames are playing just their fourth home game of the season and their first since Nov. 29. Liberty went 2-3 during a month of December where all five games were played away from Lynchburg.

• Liberty will aim to continue its run of strong defense. The Lady Flames have yielded only 50.7 ppg over their last three games and held Duquesne scoreless for the final 8:08 of their most recent game, a 55-51 victory on Dec. 22.

• Ria Gulley is coming off of her best game as a Lady Flame, totaling career highs for rebounds (7) and assists (8) versus Duquesne. Her assist total was the most by a Lady Flame since Feb. 5, 2015.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. West Chester
• Liberty and West Chester are squaring off for the third time in program history but for the first time in 31 years.

• The Lady Flames and Golden Rams matched up twice during Liberty's final season of NCAA Division II competition (1987-88), with the Lady Flames winning both contests.

• Liberty posted an 80-79 home triumph on Jan. 18, 1988 before completing the season sweep with a 71-64 victory at West Chester on Feb. 15, 1988.

• Both teams appeared in NCAA postseason tournaments last season. Liberty made its 17th NCAA Division I appearance in 22 seasons, while West Chester reached the NCAA Division II Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons.

• West Chester is looking to snap a seven-game losing streak, as the Golden Rams have not won since Nov. 25 versus Holy Family.

• Liberty has played strong defense in recent weeks, allowing only 50.7 ppg in its last three games. Conversely, West Chester is yielding 79.4 ppg during its current seven-game losing streak.

• West Chester is the alma mater of UConn Women's Basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1981.

Home Sweet Home
• Liberty is playing a home game at the Vines Center for the first time in over a month. The Lady Flames' most recent home contest was a 74-53 setback to James Madison on Nov. 29. Since then, Liberty has played five straight games away from Lynchburg.

• The Lady Flames are only 1-2 at home this season, but they have won 80 percent of their games at the Vines Center all-time, including 85 percent in Carey Green's 20 years as head coach.

Liberty vs. the PSAC
• Liberty is 4-0 all-time versus Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foes, including 1-0 versus Kutztown, 1-0 against Shippensburg and 2-0 against West Chester.

• Last season, Liberty notched a 105-43 home win over Shippensburg on Dec. 16, 2017.

• Liberty is 1-8 all-time against Pitt-Johnstown, but all nine meetings came before the Mountain Cats joined the PSAC.

• Lady Flames Assistant Coach Andrea "Andy" Bloodworth coached at Gannon from 2002-03 through 2004-05, before the Golden Knights became PSAC members.
