Liberty has earned the fourth seed for the 2018 ASUN Volleyball Championship, hosted by Kennesaw State, next Thursday through Saturday at the Convocation Center.

The Lady Flames (14-16, 10-6 ASUN) will face fifth-seeded Stetson (16-12, 8-8) in Thursday's first quarterfinal match at 5 p.m. The winner of that match will take on No. 1 seed FGCU (24-6, 15-1) on Friday at 5 p.m. Thursday's 7:30 p.m. match features No. 3 seed Lipscomb (17-11, 12-4) against No. 6 seed North Florida (11-21, 6-10), with the winner advancing to face second-seeded Kennesaw State (23-6, 14-2), Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Liberty is making its debut in the ASUN Volleyball Championship after competing in the Big South Volleyball Championship each of the last 27 years. During that 27-year span, the Lady Flames won seven conference tournament titles, qualifying for the final 12 times. Overall, Liberty went 37-20 in Big South tournament matches. Liberty's last conference title came in 2012.

The Lady Flames swept the season series from Stetson, posting 3-0 sweeps over the Hatters on Oct. 14 at the Vines Center and on Thursday at Stetson's Edmunds Center. Liberty is 3-0 all-time against Stetson in volleyball.

FGCU won its first ASUN regular-season championship since 2012, and will serve as the No. 1 seed after posting a 15-1 conference record. Defending ASUN champion, the host Kennesaw State Owls, will be the second seed after going 14-2 in league play. Lipscomb finished third at 12-4 while Liberty earned the fourth seed with a 10-6 conference record. Stetson (8-8) and North Florida (6-10) round out the top six.

The 2018 ASUN Volleyball Championship opens Thursday with two quarterfinal matches, and ends with the championship match on Saturday, Nov. 17. The ASUN tournament champion earns an automatic qualification into the 2018 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship. All matches of the 2018 ASUN Volleyball Championship will air live on ESPN+, which can be viewed for a subscription.
