The ACC announced its kickoff times for next weekend's football games earlier today with the Nov. 10 Liberty vs. Virginia game set to kick off at 3 p.m. from Scott Stadium. The contest will air on the ACC Regional Sports Networks.
The game will be the first-ever meeting between the Commonwealth foes. In its current series with Virginia, Liberty is set to travel to Charlottesville, Va., in 2019 (Nov. 23), 2020 (Nov. 7) and 2030 (Sept. 14), while the Cavaliers will visit Williams Stadium in 2027 (Sept. 11) and 2029 (Sept. 15).
Virginia is coming off a 31-21 home win over North Carolina, moving the Cavaliers to 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in ACC play. The win moved Virginia into both national polls, as the Cavaliers enter this week's home game against Pittsburgh ranked No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll and No. 23 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
Should the Cavaliers' national ranking hold for next week's game, it will mark the second time in program history Liberty has faced a nationally ranked FBS opponent. The Flames opened the 2014 season with a 56-29 loss at No. 23/23 ranked North Carolina on Aug. 30.
What's Next: Following its bye week, Liberty begins a three-game road swing when the Flames travel to Amherst, Mass., to face off against UMass. The game will begin an eight-year series with the Minutemen as the two FBS independent programs are currently scheduled to square off against each year through the 2025 season. Liberty's first of four trips to Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium over the next eight years will be on Saturday with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m.
