Lipscomb Drops Liberty 3-1

The defending ASUN Champion Lipscomb Bisons defeated the Liberty Flames 3-1 in an ASUN match, Saturday at Lipscomb Soccer Complex.

After Liberty Tresor Mbuyu scored his ASU Conference leading 10th goal in the 11th minute, host Lipscomb netted the final three goals of the match for the victory.

Liberty falls to 1-3-1 in the ASUN and 5-6-1 overall. Lipscomb improves to 3-1 in conference and 4-8 overall.

Turning Point
In the 40th minute, Daniel Muhlbauer scored off a free kick. After a foul by the Flames near the right sideline less than 30 yards out, Ryan Birchfield found Muhlbauer for a goal and a 2-1 edge, heading into halftime.
