Florida Gulf Coast Sinks Liberty 2-0, Tuesday

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles used two goals in the second half to slide past the Liberty Flames 2-0 in an ASUN Conference match, Tuesday evening at FGCU Soccer Complex.

The Eagles struck for two goals early in the second half and then held off the Flames for the victory.

Liberty sees its two-game win streak come to an end. The Flames drop to 5-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in ASUN play. FGCU moves to 7-3-1 overall and improves to 3-1 in the ASUN. The Eagles become the first conference team with three wins in league play this season.

Turning Point
After a scoreless first half, FGCU struck for the contest's first goal during the 54th minute. Stepping in front of a Liberty clearing attempt, O'Vante Mullings pushed a pass through the Flames defense for Ivan Rosales for a tip in at the right post for a 1-0 Eagles advantage.
