Liberty Notables

  • Liberty is will host its first ASUN Conference match in program history when it hosts the North Florida Ospreys, Saturday night at Osborne Stadium.
  • Saturday evening, Liberty will meet North Florida for the first time ever in program history.
  • Due to the rainfall from and scheduling conflicts caused by Hurricane Florence, the Flames have had their last two matches canceled and will have not played in 16 days.
  • Liberty tied Stetson 3-3 in two overtimes in its first-ever ASUN Conference match on Sept. 13 in DeLand, Fla.
  • Liberty forward Tresor Mbuyu leads the ASUN with 15  points and is tied for first with six goals. Mbuyu scored a goal and assisted on another at Stetson. It is the third time this season that the senior has posted three or more points in a contest. 
  • Flames midfielder Kevin Mendoza netted Liberty's first ASUN goal at Stetson and is currently fifth in the conference with nine points.
  • Liberty leads the ASUN in scoring with a 2.14 goals per game average. The Flames have allowed 1.57 goals per game.
  • With Blake Myers scoring his first collegiate goal at Stetson, the Flames have seen seven different players score a goal this season.
  • Brogan Engbers continues to see the majority of the playing time in the Liberty goal. Engbers enters the week with a 1.73 goals-against average and a .643 save percentage.
  • Liberty has added a match at American in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 16.
